Ok, I fold. I always thought it looked like too much drama. BSG now on my list for the next time I decide to go on a TV binge. (Big Sis will be happy. She loves it.)

My Big Sis watches Battlestar Galactica but it has never grabbed me, for the same reasons. Also because it seems to take itself a little bit too seriously, which I guess is a hypocritical criticism coming from me! ;) At some stage, when I run out of things to watch, I'll start from the beginning and maybe I'll get hooked.

Strange about the comments box. I use Firefox and I checked it in IE6. What browser do you use? I'll see if I can fix it. Then again, if it's exhilarating... :)

Ah, I'm so glad you gave this show a recommendation, and I hope I can find it on DVD at Blockbuster or someplace like that.

One way we get through the winter months is watching a television series. We watched "24" and "Gray's Anatomy" on DVD first, for instance. I think one year we did "Prison Break." Right now, one of my sons has gotten us into "Battlestar Galactica." At first, BG seemed somewhat silly and adolescent, but now I admit I love it. The way that the main characters are played is archetypally meaningful to me, and I particularly love that they have a female president of the colonies (she's wonderful).

We're going to run out of episodes soon, and I have nothing to watch. Like you, I don't want to watch live TV if I can avoid it!

By the way, do you know that your comments box runs all the way to the right and I have to type blind at some point? Right now, I can't see what I'm typing.... odd. I always feel I'm falling off a word cliff when I comment here; it's exhilarating and scary.

You'll like it. There are a couple of effects they use which might bug you at first but they've now found a balance with them. I've never been in a "real lab" but it looks believable to me. CSI is like watching the same show over and over again.

As for why you hadn't heard about it, it's a bit of a dark horse. It was only syndicated to the US this year, and initially we were downloading it from Italian cable. Thank goodness for my rudimentary Italian because there are some bits of dialogue which are translated in subtitles. Our subtitles weren't in English!

My flat is the same. After the third day of a heatwave it's unfit to live in. Lucky we got that change this evening so I could open the place up and let some cool air through, it might be ok for a couple more days!

I like 24 but not House, so where does that put me with regards to ReGenesis? :) Actually it looks pretty interesting, I wonder why I haven't come across it before! One thing I like about it just from the screenshots, the labs look something like real labs do. None of this CSI bs with all the moody lighting choices and ultra-stylish work spaces, I can't stand that.
