Everything happens at once…
So.
I just launched a new blog and now have 2 to write for.
I’m a moderator at the Aussie Bloggers Forum.
I’m about to start contributing articles to a group blog.
I’m hard at work getting a charity ready to go public.
And I just got an unexpected letter in the mail. From the Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre.
Apparently, despite the fact that I did not fill out all the requisite forms, or sit the requisite tests, or send off the requisite paperwork, or order the requisite reports, the Powers That Be have (in their great wisdom) decided that they would love to let me back into university this year to finish my Bachelor of Arts.
They aren’t sending me to the one I wanted to go to, though, so perhaps the powers of the Powers That Be are limited. Regardless, on Tuesday I’m off to enrol because of course I can be a single mum, and a moderator, and a triple blogger, and a charity administrator, and university student, at the same time as I single-handedly repair a broken down housewhich I can’t get to because I am currently a little bit blind.
No worries.
Methinks 2008 won’t have a lot of time to spare for depression!

Well done! So what subjects will you be doing?

Congratulations! It’s all good news, which is great (except for losing your glasses, that is). Hopefully keeping busy is a positive thing, but as Bettina said - try to keep your eye on the big picture so you don’t get bogged down in keeping all those balls in the air. Easier said than done, but your blog/forum friends are here to help

You’re a woman aren’t you - piece of cake
Seriously - congratulations, but remember to look after yourself ‘k?

Congratulations, Wonder Woman!
I think perhaps you might reconsider that single-handed thing. One of my single mum poet friends called all her friends together for a working bee when she had to fix up a house in order to move on. Everyone brought food and booze and she turned on a barbie afterwards. There were various little kids present too, and they all had fun.
See, the Universe broke your glasses (and you thought it was Caspar!) so’s you wouldn’t be able to go there and try to do it all by yourself. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it.

Heath, big congrats to your beloved from me.
Brett, I guess I’ll just be continuing with History and Lit as before, but no idea of the course structure at this uni and I need to transfer credits so it will take some figuring out. I don’t really have the luxury of working toward a PhD any more - just a Dip Ed for me when it’s finished - so it might be a case of choosing what will get me finished quickest.
Snaky, you made me laugh. I think a little working bee might be in the cards but every time I try to figure it out, it just does my head in.
And I’m excited! And shall happily take on the role of Wonder Woman. And I think the pressure will be a good thing, because they are all things I want to do, not just burdens hanging over my head. I think being able to achieve these good things will give me a bit of courage and energy to deal with the extraordinarily problematic house problem. But I will try to make sure I’m taking care of myself too.
And you blog friends are a big help!

Congratulations CM.
Bite off more than you can chew and just keep chewing.
Kick the depression into shape - you can do it, yes you can (Oh dear, you can tell I’m a mother that’s watched far too much TV!!!!)

Hey, we all need to be Mum’d from time to time, no matter how old we get!
And I’m happily chewing!
